Back in the day, in Loveland Co, there was a guy who had a field. Callsign Fett, his TM sniper was legendary for its power and accuracy. He would purposely miss you the first time, his way of lettin you know your hit before he actually caused pain. I rarely got such nice treatment, as a mg gunner i was always on the kill first list.

The UTG L96 is a great platform to upgrade upon. I'd say the biggest key to snipping in airsoft is making your rifle consistent. This can be done using upgraded parts and a 500 fps spring to shoot .40 gram bbs (leads to a more predictable trajectory). But I'd say the most important thing is getting a good hopup that's adjusted via a screw and I prefer a madbull hopup bucking. So a TLDR is don't expect any airsoft bolt action rifle to be amazing out of the box, upgrades are definitely needed but once they're done it's so much fun.

Well, I do shooting test from 35-38 meters away, and the accuracy level for small size target is around 30-35%. The accuracy will increase slightly with heavier bb. And I use a cheap spring rifle (fully upgraded) that can shoot 500 fps. Its only cost around $100.

The market for snipers is basically driven by a few youtube channels and movies. they 99% suck. I gave it a go, upgraded spent a kidneys worth of cash on it. Yes it was very accurate at range....but the impact you have on the game is minimal. Thats why all those youtube snipers lone wolf all the time. They are just in for the youtube likes. Seen a kid in a hoodie with a rental get more kills many times than the snipers on my team.

Yup, everyone wanted to be a sniper, exept for me ...AEG run and gun all the way or a tri shot springer shotty for indoor! To be fair I did try a WE tech GBBR but it seemed to be only good at breaking at the most inoppertune time, even after changing out to tge RA tech upgrades (2015ish).

Now with all the AEG upgrades vs the springer sniper upgrades, it doesn't seem like you get much of a range or accuracy increase to offset the slow ROF, in fact I seem to be outranging most bolties at the outdoor fields, but i suppose they may not be upgraded, or like jet said it takes time to master... much like playing with the springer shotgun.

@Sunny D He primarily brings attention to the high rate of suicide in the trans community. This is effective for two reasons, it is explicit and jarring, and it shows a clear issue in that community. Stonetoss likely attributes these suicides to regretted transitions. Even if this is the wrong conclusion, the fact that the conversation is held at all is great. It is taboo to talk of this statistic and if nobody brought it up the deaths of trans people would continue.

My brother got an ssg10 recently, it is quite nice, well worth the cash. Definitely cheaper than buying the parts and doing it yourself.
THAT SAID, I've got an $80 Bbtac m62 that shoots like a laser well out to 300, so yeah.

My m24 ltr with 3 coils cut off a m150 spring and a upgraded bucking is just as accurate as my friends ssg10 with a cut 3 joule spring. Were both shooting 2.8ish joules.

F*$& Novritsch products! Bought a SSP1, fielded it twice indoors in two months and the lower arm of the loading nozzle broke off. Customer service said it was a consumable product and haven't responded back to me calling them out for not standing behind their products. Put less than 300 rounds through it, it is a disappointment. I had considered buying a Novritsch sniper rifle, but absolutely not now.

Airsoft snipers are unpredictable depending on range and bb weight usually .28 or .30 bbs are needed for better accuracy and range (this is through experience though i dont know how well it holds up for info)

Snipers break in time are 2-3 gamedays, so u have to be mentaly strong, BBs flying everywhere! AEGs 1 gameday, depending in ROF. And the ROF is my point of sniping, you just can't pour a rain of BBs on your target

Eh. You can't build a better gun for the same price, since he buys the parts in bulk. Good quality stuff - my bro has an SSG10 and it is worth the money.

But the idiots saying his stuff sucks are the same saying you've got to upgrade your gun - my $80 m62 shoots accurately out to 300 ft, so I don't give them much credence.

Spent 8 years using AEGs: never had a major issue in predictability.
Switched to a sniper a month ago: accuracy is wild without aftermarket parts, and even then it’s too tempting to try and fire another shot until you realize it’s a sniper.

Still, it’s a learning process/curve, and I think it’s a fun challenge

Before doing anything else, buy quality heavy ammo. That's really 85% of what makes a sniper good. Upgrades are just to make your rifle fling the heaviest ammo possible out to 300ft.

Honestly I wouldn't call it cheating because especially when using "snipers" the BB impact at that range feels like nothing. It is very easy to not be sure if it was just a fly or something. It's really only a sign of cheating if right after getting hit they duck behind cover and/or return fire at your direction.

@T4nkcommander sorry to hear that. I upgraded to an action army zero trigger. It gets rid of the safety and the trigger is like 1lb. so gotta be aware of that but its all steel and durable as hell. planning to get a new one soon for a gas build.

Never liked the indoor fields unless the scenario was CQB. Just having a bunch of barricades and scoot and shoot was never my bag. The league I was in had very elaborate milsim scenarios. I've seen a couple European field vids that came close.

Maybe speedsoft is more your style? Played mostly indoors in smaller fields. High paced, however the stereotype is that its a more toxic play style with many airsoft flip out videos on YouTube taking place at one of these indoor arenas.

You can spend $300+ on an inconsistent bolt action gun or you could buy a proven higher end gun that will have damn near the same range. Not only that, you could always upgrade your hop up and inner barrel if you aren’t content with the range. Nov products just seem to be overpriced gimmicks to me. Even if you want a sniper, you can build it yourself for cheaper...

@Zach Martinez everyone says you can build it cheaper but you can't. Two YouTubers are trying to build a L96 for the same cost as a SSG96 and have failed just with parts.

I've yet to see an AEG or DMR that reached out to 250ft, whereas I can reliably hit targets at that range. But I should expect as much with someone as idiotic a username as "Texas is dumb"

Build a vsr10 for less then 300 bucks and I bet you the ssg10 will out preform it. I have the ssg10 spent 250 on a Black Friday sale it’s not the greatest in my opinion I use .45gram bbs bc the .48s I got with it were too heavy, now with that being said my buddy has a fully built vsr10 that cost him around 800 dollars and my ssg10 preforms just as well.

Not everyone want / can spend that much time getting the experience and building their own. Now in all fairness i have never built an airsoft gun in my life so i can´t answer for how hard/easy it is, but it does feel a bit risky to get all the parts and then maybe mess it up because i might not know what i am doing.

glad for this video, it shows players, especially newer players that get pulled into all the nov hype that his videos are not all that you see and that buying his rifles doesnt mean you'll be hitting shots like you see in videos, its definitely more of a learning your rifle and getting proficient (and lucky) at it

A real glock for example cost 650ish in American money (825 in Canada) a airsoft high quality glock replica cost at most 200 US dollars (253 in Canada).
