NOVRITSCH always plays really aggressive with a sniper, he rushes to the enemy base and clears through enemy buildings with his pistol, when playing with an AR he moves slower clearing step by step with the rest of his team.

In France it's hard (but not impossible) for an assult player to beat the range/accuracy of sniper rifle because there are allowed powers for each type of gameplay (which isn't an accurate rule but...) Like 350fps for assault rifle, 400fps for semi only, 450fps for sniper (mesured with 0.20bbs).

What's the comparison between mag sizes? Snipers tend to have, what, 15 to 20 shots? And the ARs tend to have 30 to 60, depending on the mag, right? This means the ARs have somewhere between 1.5 to 4 times the number of shots, depending on mag sizes. A good sniper uses between 1 and 3 shots to hit someone. Josef was using bursts, for the most part. He spent about 4 shots a burst. Some he hit in 1 burst. Some took 3. Most of the time, he fired some extra shots. I would say the ammo spent compared to mag size is roughly the same. In this woodland scenario, I would not recommend a sniper unless you are fairly good and/or in a ghillie.

AR's in in airsoft will always exceed an advantage over snipers cuz they can shoot faster and not have to worry so much about their movement and staying hidden as much. Anyone with a Sniper has to bank on staying hidden and that their first shot will hit or risk getting spotted and taken out before they even have the time to rack a second shot unless they are fortunate enough to reposition to get a follow-up shot and that it will hit. Only slight advantage Snipers have is range if the FPS limits are high enough and the sniper rifle has more range then the AR's on the field etc.

What are the power limits at your site for AEG, DMR and sniper rilfes?

I'd say it depends on the terrain. your woodland games are nice and open. Ours (South Africa) you can't see more than 30m in a straight line. If you're hitting people at 60m, sniper works. if it's heavy brush with shorter range, an AEG seems a better fit - faster if you hit a twig

I played one match using my vsr10. Got hosed in the head with full auto. Seriously want to kill the dude. Next match switched to my LCT RPK and kept them pinned down for my friend to pick off with his sniper.

I think it’s a disadvantage cause u give away your position when u pull the trigger. In an forest environment, snipers have the advantage based on concealment and nature. Depends on preference too I guess.

Your airsoft sniper rifles are definitely overrated. My brother received a warped receiver/stock combo out of the box. Mr Novritsch claims that's not covered under warranty and wished him good luck with the rifle. Gun won't cycle without scraping metal and dry fires half the time.

Nice "kills" there!! So far SSX-303 is the perfect sniper. Quit playin both my fully upgraded SSG24 and SRS G-Spec. Nowadays aeg/hpa setups based on AR platforms have come a long way and you can hit 70m at around 130mps without problems. So not only they can compete with bolt snipers, they surpass 'em in several ways. Now it depends on players style if they want to go for absolute stealth(ghillie+ ssx303) or partial stealth + higher fire power aeg/hpa etc. When I go full stealth I use SSX303 + SSP18 for that close range firepower against groups. I use SSX23 + SRS/SSG24 for that classic sniper gamestyle. Or can go DMR route which is a bit noisy with aegs for a quicker style gameplay.
P.S. Putting a partially metal teeth piston in your SSR15 gearbox was not a smart move. A friend of mine managed to damage it from day one and it was not a good thing. Since your guarantee is basically non-existent I think you guys should make exceptionally reliable products so at least users have a decent downtime untill their product fails. That being said I never had any issues with a Novritsch product failing on me and I have severals(meaning all of 'em except SSG10/96 and electric SSP18).

Everything is important. When you make a snitzel you could say the meat is the most important bit thats your basis. Then you need the herbs and spices, cooking time and ofcourse the right pan.

The aeg is the meat, shotguns, snipers, handguns, lmg and all the other pieces are your herbs and spices. And if that all works together you have the best team. So yeah in airsoft the team will make or break you

All depends on the field, at my field, where the buildings are no sniper rifle can out do a aeg rifle, but in the fields/woods much more possible. Especially with a good ghillie suit... allows you time to get that one shot kill!

Yep snipers are now dead. Aeg is getting to good now and unless you wear a ghillie wait around for hours not moving. I play sniper in the morning and my p☆ m4 in the afternoon but the afternoon is always much better. To get the range, ive made a mk23 sniper for the afternoon games but with full auto whos needs a sniper, snipers guns just dont have the range or accuracy any more to be effective most aeg can now shoot to 60/ 70 metres with 100s off bbs in a few minutes one is bound to hit.. sniper 6 hours waiting for one shot that then miss in the same range.. snipers are dead... dmr or aeg is the way to go now..

Let me answer this question, it's a really easy one.
Sniping sucks.
Even with the SSG10 - you are outgunned by AEG DMR in virtually every situation.

With a DMR you can own the game. With a sniper you play the entire game compensating.

Let me put it to you this way, a C02 handgun will outperform the SSG10, and it does up to 60 meters - which is quite a long range in airsoft.

Basically this question is a no brainer and nothing to debate here.

Only play sniper if you are seriously handicapped or completely obsessed with gillie suits - and want to spend the entire game in a bush not actually firing your sniper.

I had CYMA AK-74 (no upgrades) and after enough games and training I was able to outplay snipers, so it is possible, plus with gun like SSR-15 :D

It depends really, my dmr out ranges all of my teams rifles so I can provide a good overwatch for them moving, but technology keeps improving range and accuracy of AEGs. The only limiting factor of the AEGs are field rules on velocity limits, a well built aeg at (us sniper limit) 2.8j can shoot just as well as a well built dmr/sniper

Assuming a proper setup with consistent FPS, quality barrel and correct hopup unit setup there should be no difference in range/accuracy between a bolt action "sniper rifle" and an AEG/HPA "assault rifle" setup. They are functionally the same when you break it down to bb, hopup and barrel. airsoft "sniping" is more about a play style than really being the better long ranged option. Using a select fire weapon will always give you way more option over a dedicated "sniper".

The only advantage of a sniper here in Canada is the fps boost and how silent some of them are. Range wise, it depends on the sniper and the AEG. Once you throw HPA in the mix, the advantage of a snipe is pretty meuh because both are silent and a HPA rifle with a 363mm or 416mm barrel with proper seals and bucking will reach out as far as a snipe on 450-500fps.

If you are in Australia and using gel blasters, yes it's extremely useless to waste money on a "sniper" rifle.

7mm gel balls, unlike BBs deform during flight and also are more susceptible to uncontrollable flight due to the fact a "bucking chamber" can't really be set the same way Airsoft can.
Our hopup is placed that the end tip of the barrel as the round exits and is essentially a small paddle that presses against the top side inducing a backspin.
There is yet to be anyone in Australia who can prove they have an accurate grouping at 50metres with a grouping that consists of a circle with less than 5m diameter.
All bolt action and spring based gel blasters are almost entirely useless and the gas ones even more so.
This is also an issue Novritsch has discussed with our industry during the podcast with Ausgel

Here our best bets are high speed AEG rifles and GBB pistols that are never really engaging targets more than 20-30metres away

@RUBLAX seeing how the strongest one is 700 fps ( just going off a quick Google look) it would probably draw blood and hurt more but not as much as you think. A bullet fired from a .22 has around 1,200 fps give to take on load size. So all and all if you get shot in the arm with 700 fps airsoft gun you will be fine just hurting

@Ethan Skelly dmr depends on that the field rule set is. Most dmr's are required to be 7.62 mag and up, and semi locked

You should be able to make a dmr of the ssr15 cuz of installed titan. the scope is on the website aswell

The sight you see in the scope cam is a layer edited in after the video. The camera doesn't have a crosshair or aimpoint it's just a zoom cam and they edit a sight onto the footage so you know where they're aiming. You can tell cause the lighting on the scope never changes

@Luke DeLorme in tarkov it is the case because you can snipe with any assault rifle just as precisely if not better than with any bolt action rifle, interestingly in airsoft it seems to be quite similar. good point

Its not necessarily the gun that makes you win. It certainly helps, but a experienced airsoft player with a crap m4 is going to beat a noob with the best airsoft gun.
