Jackass
I prefer real shimming and a RIF that won't die after a couple of mags.
The best thing Umarex/VFC have ever made is the HK .45ct. And that's not even VFC internals (thankfully).
I'd rather get a JG G3 and upgrade it to outperform any VFC for a lot less money, not hard considering the extortionate price of a VFC.
I know there are VFC fanboys out there who swear they've never had an issue, which is a blatant lie, ALL AEG's need care and attention, even more with GBB's, it just seems that VFC and Ares (the AS-01 is pretty good though) break faster and parts are more expensive, being proprietary.
Sure, a VFC looks nice, all the correct markings and trades, but you may as well rip out that gearbox and put in an E&L gearbox with an SHS HT motor and ZCI 16:1 or even 13:1 advanced gears, short-stroked with an SHS steel-rack piston, Element "mushroom" cylinder and piston head, proper shimming, no newbie sorbo pads (which should be eradicated from the planet), proper piston spacers if the AOE is off (it will be!) and a Gate WarFET. Both can be ambi, but the VFC as stock is likely to chew up your piston and gears like my ex-wife gobbled d*ck.
It also depends on where you live in the world as prices can vary.
Lancer Tactical make affordable beginner RiF's, not bad quality and easy to upgrade, so what if somethings Polymer? The Scorpion EVO is mostly Polymer externals and very good, but for a good base platform, one that you can upgrade down the line as you get a feel for it and know what needs to be changed, Specna Arms have many M4 variants, some with a MOSFET (ASX-R, Aster or some I belive come with Gate Titans) they're not bad, I have 2 of their M4 variants.
G&G RiF's are pretty good, even some Classic Army ones sometimes come with a MOSFET and already wired with deans connectors and generally have a good motor.
Double Bell are good as a base platform if you intend to upgrade it.
Try a few at a retailer if you can, not everyone is built the same, so trying out a couple well help you know if it's right for you.
Total waste of my money. If someone offered to trade a brand new VFC 416 for my Classic Army 416d or Arcturus 416A5 I'd laugh in their face thinking it was a joke.
More trouble than they're worth. And they are way too expensive for all the pretty externals and terrible internals. That's just the VFC AEG's I've had and sold. I think the SCAR was the nicest in performance, but the colors were all mismatched so it looked ugly as sin.
Trading with them would introduce bias, I'm not, which means I'm not bound into saying nice things about them, I'm free to recant my experience when they cost almost a much to get them repaired as you paid for the RIF- and I'm very gentle and careful with my collection.
(Edit) How the hell you comrades get here so fast?
Hey That Should Good Too.. Project SALVO Weapons?? Hell I'm bored With Moddimg Shits it's time To Return to Innocent
What do you Mean?? Full Size With Wooden Stock Or Popular One With Folding Stock?
I mean ive wanted another full sized uzi since the trigger bar on my marui one broke, and while northwest are supposedly making one, cant believe it has taken this long to get what is possibly the most recognizable SMG up there with the MP5
Shame other Airsoft Company Way Too Busy Making Crappy Armalites
Besides that I'll never get a vfc
I guess I forgot that there is one disadvantage of GBBRs: heavy mags. Except maybe if you want to do some workout anyway. Some say that the low mag capacity is also a disadvantage but I enjoy reloading. There's nothing like slapping that charging handle on your MP5 or smacking the paddle release on your SCAR! Some other difficulties are changing temperatures during a game and incorrectly filling mags with gas which sometimes happen even with the best GBBR users.
And then there are the price tags. But considering that people spend more than $100 on a flashlight and God knows how much on night vision the price is only a problem if you don't have the money.
