A bit more info for the guys on here interested in their L119A2 according to archwicks FB page it’s due for release March 21 and will be around $1200-$1500 or £900-£1200.
They admitted that the one shown here was rushed for MOA and has some slight inaccuracies but those will be fixed by the release date

So ive had my AEG stoner 96 sitting in peices for a month waiting on me to pull the trigger on the full rebuild. I want to know whats your opinion and the pros/cons of HPA vs AEG LMGs

From my personal experience, HPA is better in basically every way besides having to carry the tank. HPA guns last longer due to having less moving parts, accuracy and FPS is more consistent. If something does break, HPA's are much easier to troubleshoot and fix. You can also adjust FPS and RPM much more than you can with an AEG, meaning I can take my Polarstar/G&P M4 R3 and take it up to 500 FPS, or down closer to 350 FPS for CQB fields. While, HPA's can be more expensive, the price is worth it for the longevity and reliability alone. (Also side note, HPA's almost completely get rid of joule creep which is major plus for me.)

@Olivier Hamel you are well. The L119s are still manufactured at Diamaco (Colt Canada). Diamaco was bought out by Colt, it is the exact same building, staff and equipment. As the needs and taskings for UKSF evolve so as the L119.

Yes it is based on the C8. The original batch had been C8s that modified to the UKSF requirements.

Find it really hard to get excited about these carbine kits for pistols...

I have to say with a spring powered rifle Im struggling to understand this huge emphasis on being VSR-10 magazine compatible, I heard ASG did the same thing recently. The mags should be cheap and surely on a rifle that’s all about realism, it would make sense to have the realistic mag operate in the realistic way, rather than having a 20bb feed ramp?

Sometimes I think Tokyo Marui screwed this sport up pretty bad. Everybody clones their product but they are not very realistic. Like the VSR10 mag. And don't even get me started on these sewing machine AEGs. I've just seen this KSC HK33 video, with some more work that would've been a lot better system than the standard V2/V3 that everyone uses. Hopefully the GBLS system will gain popularity and their prices will drop.

@Ganon Stonebreaker you do realize they aren’t meant to keep stuff out for the most part but to keep stuff in (both n95/other masks). Sure they aren’t perfect, but they stop droplet and most contaminated air from exiting freely.

Also you got a source for that claim? Since from my brief search, it states that virus particles are never floating around by themselves but are grouped together with other stuff thus being bigger.

So just to clarify what was said in here. The L119A2 is the current service weapon for the UK SAS and SBS. It’ll be good to have an out of that box solution rather than building one yourself though I’ll still glad I did mine.

Gotta say I'm really liking the work archwick is doing! High quality work and not cutting corners. Sure I'm probably not going to get any of their products any time soon, but that's more due to my fairly niche interests. However I do appreciate their attention to details and the fact their listening to the community and tweaking their designs from the feedback they're getting!
