Airsoft grenades are useful, a well thrown grenade can wipe out a lot of enemy players and a badly thrown one could wipe out your own team. Your will see one or the other in this video. Filmed at Section8 Airsoft in Scotland August 2020. The camera is fully hand held, no stabilisation added, or gimbal used. Filmed using Canon camera, edited on Apple iMac, using iMovie, not some other expensive or over rated software. Most sites in the UK, USA etc accept players from age 14, though many will also accept players as young as 10. I would advise that before playing Airsoft at any site, you make sure it has insurance cover for all in your age group. Always wear eye protection when playing Airsoft, even if you are just playing in your backyard. It is not possible to convert these items to use anything other than little plastic BBs. Remember always play safe.

Can someone help me with this? I've always liked the look of airsoft because it's basically the way to go if you fancy doing something like paintball but paintball is not nearly as mainstream and it's badly monetisated and other stuff we know about. But I just can't see passed the fact that you are running around in this realistic equipment with electric replica weapons. Not in anyway meant to be disrespectful, I'm just struggling to see passed it and keeps me back from trying it. You see people taking it pure seriously trying to use military terminology and it's like oh my, its a game and you are using basically toy guns. I feel like I'd have to have my face covered at all times from cringe. Though it is pretty popular

I'm going this sunday for the first time and feel EXACTLY the same way. I can't help but feel like its gonna be Call of Duty players fulfiling their weird consequence-free power fantasy ego-trip. Maybe I'm wrong (doubtful). I'll try keep an open mind

Some people take it more serious than others, I mind two guys once stacking up to attack a base which didnt end well. but the thing is they were actually serving military members which isnt unusual to see (thought more ex forces). It is just a game with toy guns, which 99% of people understand the 1% can give it a bad name. The culture within the sport is a lot diferent than it looks from watching some youtube videos on it, I would recomend trying it out if you dont like it all youve lost is a afternoon and a bit of cash.
