Players might opt for a 'Spring Powered' sniper for the increased FPS limits over semi-auto that some fields allow.

I think I know what you mean by 'compression' but you're misusing the term. The measuring of 'compression' is about how much of the usable volume of air in the cylinder goes down the barrel and doesn't escape in undesirable ways. Just because a barrel is short doesn't mean the gun has bad compression. Some parts that affect compression include the cylinder and nozzle and piston and bucking, all parts that (usually) have some sort of gasket-like piece meant to keep air from escaping. The barrel being short may limit the usable volume of the cylinder (this would be an 'over volumed' gun, in that case), but just because the barrel is shorter doesn't make this a terrible gun. I've seen pistols shoot farther than 'sniper' rifles. There's a lot that goes into making a BB fly straight and far, and most out-of-the-box guns will perform well below their theoretical limits.
Not sure what happened to the other comment where we were talking
Still cool though
