I’ve only ever been paint balling, but if this happened on the paintball course I used to go to, the ref would’ve made them sit out for a round or two. If they kept cheating after that, they would ban them from the course for the rest of the day.

Just subscribed, wish I was better at aiming, I'm a terrible shot but a good sport, I use swords instead of guns so I respect the honor treatment, I've found with people who said I never hit them with the sword (we use foam) but the concept is the same, acknowledge when you're hit, and be respectful of the rules of engagement.

That is why we take photos of all players before game and if there is any sh*t like this in 2 or more games their photo is on site with BAN sign. So other game organizers know who not to let play..and with that you dont have cheaters if they want to play again. Ofc there are some "terminator weekend warriors" but full auto deals with that..

I play paintball, myself and a friend hosted a game and we caught this person that was new to the sport and the field, I was using orange fill paint and double tapped this guy in his chest and he keep playing and I yelled at him to call his out well he didn't, he stuck his head up at the wrong time and myself and a teammate lit up his mask and yelled at him to call his out this time he did.
Got back to the safe zone after the game and he got in my face about getting lit up. I told him call your out or get lit up if you don't like it leave and don't come back.

The unfortunate thing is that you are in fact setting a bad example. By not confronting that dude, you're teaching younger players to just roll over and take it. Sure, you dont need to escalate, you don't need to get in a fist fight, but you should confront, let the other guy know you're not a pushover. With a calm but assertive tone, something along the lines of "Yea, I'm looking at you because I shot you multiple times and you didn't call it. It's no fun when people cheat. Cmon man, let's have a good and fair game, aight?". That is not escalating, you're giving the cheater an opportunity to redeem himself and you still come out of the interaction with integrity.

You can’t have a cordial conversation with someone like that, and you sure as hell aren’t gonna teach them anything. That's bad if you ask me... What does that teach the person who wronged you? That you are a pushover and he can feel free to continue looking for your line, because cheating and calling you out ain't it - hence the bad behavior will escalate. So again, to recap - it's not ok to just let ppl walk all over you. You prevent that by standing up for youself. Completely disagree, but to each their own. Through my time spent earning a black belt, I’ve learned that the most important thing is to avoid conflict, and only get into it if necessary. Sometimes I do better at that than others, but IMO the best thing we can teach younger players is that the opinion and words of a cheater should roll off our shoulders, not encourage us to engage when there’s literally no point other than for the relief of our own aggression. If you think me approaching that guy in that situation would result in anything other than an ugly shouting match, you’re sorely mistaken. I don’t want my young fans seeing me that way in person, sorry not sorry.

I'm old now, so i'm far past healthy enough to keep playing games like this but i use to play Pro paintball for the NPPL. When we encountered people toxic like that, it was a clear sign it was time to "roll" on him. Our markers weren't full auto but we could make it sound like it. If we caught you being toxic and wiping paint we'd literally change the color of your gear for you. I feel like that is lost on people now days in airsoft.. we need more full auto rolls now days. Good on you for not feeding the trolls though.

A ref will sometimes "test fire" you by shooting you with a little pistol to see for themselves if you're calling your hits. If you fail their test, they would take some sort of action. If you pass and "call it", they obviously allow you to stay in the game.

I used to be heavy into paintball and had considered air soft. Some people just can’t handle losing so they cheat even when it is among friends. Was a member of a club and one of the more senior members was constantly cheating and me as a newer member would catch him doing it and call him out. They would deny it again and again. We would agree to only play semi automatic at times and cap our balls per second to make it more fair for people that had to rent and were new to paintball. Same senior member would leave his bps uncapped and on full auto. I started to film the games and would catch the cheating on camera and show it to other senior members who did nothing. You either have honor or you don’t. I feel bad for cheaters because at the end of the day they never will be a real winner. Needless to say I left the club. Don’t need that kind of person in your life. An unfortunate thing you eventually run into as well is people that are regulars at a field and so they get given special treatment by the refs and owners. They let them get away with stuff that others just don’t. When it comes to fields that have owners and refs that don’t enforce rules hit em where it hurts. Their wallets. Don’t go back there and let people know how they like to do business.

While it isn't airsoft, I do play a lot of BF4. When my squad finds a cheater, we tend to gravitate towards them, doing our best to make his gameplay not fun. We'll hound him, and any squad mates near him, relentlessly.

I questioned the need for Novritsch's 5 joule gun in any sane game. I no longer question that need. Biased mods, cheaters, God mode and other unsportsmanlike conduct is why we do not play at most fields. It's not worth the frustration.

The Judge can't do anything?? I was a Judge and Pro player in Paintball back in the '90s, and if you have a cheater, the Judge should stand by him and if he sees a hit, he's ejected... Bottom line, My guess is he was a regular and the judges didn't want to send him off...

I remember playing when I was like 10 or 11 I'm 14 now and there was this huge cheater that about 5 guys on my team would hit him over and over and one guy got a bunch of clips of him and at the end of the game after the teamate that was standing next to me took of his padding and helmet the guy just mag dumped me and him guy that was next to me I got lucky because I was kinda behind my teammate but my teamate got hit in the face when he had no mask on like almost the entire mag luklcky he didn't get his eyes hit

Wish we could have fields line this here in Ohio, a lot of tall concealment, but not much hard cover, up here we don't have much medium height brush, mostly thick trees and much shorter underbrush.

Man, this doesn't even look fun. It seems like everyone thinks shooting 25+ RPS is the only way to play at this place. People are obviously gonna get mad when they get hit 5-10 times in 1 second.

i'd of been rampaging at that cheater and mutible enounters would of sent me into full fury mode and ugh cuss words would be flying squarly aimed at that cheater (i hate cheaters in any sort of activity but especaly ones like games or somthing where ya could get especaly hurt from someone NOT fallowing rules of engagement/calling their being hit)

That’s just bad reffing.
