Wishing my legs & feet weren't so beat up as I'd Love to try what you do ! Miss the old days as a kid 20 or so friends & kids from around town getting together ta play war in the Swamp. Frog or Fish Grenade's crab-apples or board sling shots as guns. Growing up in the 70's & 80's was Awesome, but doing what you do looks just as Fun !!! Keep up the Gr8ness !!!

Cheaters are going to cheat, nothing you can do about it. Sim rounds definitely help those who claim "they didn't feel it" but cheaters will still cheat.

There was no hard feelings (except me on the ground holding my crotch because it hurt like hell). But in the end, you get shot, you deal with it. You're not dead, its just a bit of pain.

Its a good thing to safe kill someone especially in close quarters than burst him
But when it comes to a full locked and loaded world war 2 mission with full protection gear and 3000 fps guns you should know what you signed up for and quit complaining
I've been shot with a semi-auto paintball gun over my t shirt from less than 5 meters and hell it hurt like bitch but I wouldnt be that guy

In these cases my mates all agree to do a bang rule when we don't want to carry our pistols. All in all, just wear cover. I've taken plenty of 500 fps hits to the face without a scratch.

As well as this, if you sneak up on someone tapping them or holding your gun up does the trick just fine, no need for bang rules.
I like the idea of the bb's that are food for animals, and plinking stuff in the city without having to worry about shooting a neighbor. To run around playing soldiers, they have plenty of training available if you want to really get into it.

god damn i need to get into this kind of cool ass shit, it looks too fun. i hear about a weekend full of this shit and its just amazing to think of, honestly i love the field in the army, just minus all of the artificial rules and restrictions on what you can do or bring. aall this shit i see from you crazies in europe all the time, all these big maps, no stupid fucking liability rules like 'heey you cant climb anything you could falll', a fucking ww2 bunker. i.. i need a better paying job so i can afford to travel and get into this shit.
I joined the us army as a scout because the idea of recon sounded like a good way to use your brain more than your gun, even if the other proved necessary time to time.
Turns out the army was a lot better than i expected at making things stupid.

Ive drilled getting discovered and fighting off a force thats like four times larger than you too many times to count.
There's airsoft courses near the base im on for sure, but theyre all like 2-3 hours matches, you're mentioning a whole weekend. That sounds beyond badass and fun to me, time to actually set up, stalk, sneak, not just charge in on a mini field.
Outside of basic, (which to be fair had ONE day spent on a proper infiltration course where we all split into groups of 3-4 and had to get to the heart of a forest filled with soldiers whilst unarmed, a course you were supposed to fail and learn from - in five years theyd said, two people had passed - and our class did pass, making 3, which was one of the most fun moments of my life) in the year ive served regularly outside of basic, i've had two proper infiltration classes/competitions.
They were surprised in our last 11 day field exercise when i took three other guys and instead of just sitting in a bush, went, found a trail of trash, (redbull cans dropped in bushes 'hidden', MRE trash, etc) followed it to where some idiot from the OPFOR had left their fucking helmet behind, and followed the trail further to actually find the little opfor camp.
Then we were simply told that artillery had killed us. somehow. apparently. Dont think we were supposed to find them.
The first one i won, out of all the people there outranking me as a freshfaced new private,
and the second i got to teach as a PFC (E3) about to be promotion waivered to a SPC (4). Winning the first allowed to attend a special forces course in land navigation which was fun as fuck, and ive gotten to do a bit of training in the field on ambushes and shit like that, and the typical scout shit like calling artillery onto convoys, but i wish i could do more like, similar to this shit. actually i really want to look into airsoft and find some milsimy kinda shit somewhere near, ive been looking at guns and prices (and for the first time... they dont fire real bullets, yet i care!) and i realllllly shouldnt be since i just bit the bullet in the bank account to get an apartment so my girlfriend could move in. I do know i flat out dont want to rent, it pisses me off to rent shit i know ill use more than once because it wastes money longterm. and for that same reason i dont want to buy something cheap ill just want to replace. trying to entirely educate myself on airsoft shit to make sure i get a solid rifle to play.
(which im clearly not alone in, since in the past four months almost every experienced leader - NCO or officer weve had - left the unit to join SF, SFAB, or the rangers, being the reason why all specialists (4) are being treated like sergeants (5) in the unit, and they clearly need more so we're giving three the good PFCs (3) promotions to accomplish that, we have a corporal (4) filling in as a section sergeant (6) and a SFC (7) filling in as a First Sergeant. (8) I kind of watched my unit turn a liiiittle)
Now, ive gotten a lot of tight training. Breaching doors with shotguns and M9s, gunnery (Machine guns mounted to trucks), long range 500m+ marksmanship and close range <20m marksmanship courses, a lotta cool cool shit. just. Not entirely what i signed up intending for. I guess our army kind of has the idea that a scout is more useful as some kind of shock-based casualty creating unit (like the cavalry we hail from) is more effective than focusing on the actual reconnaissance, which is fine and all.
i was a little sad to learn that literally everything in the online video they used to recruit people showed.... literally shit like this, ghillie suit and all, for basic training. and
well lets just say ive not touched a ghillie yet. Deeeefinitely not in basic. bit of a blatant lie, but, its been a solid minute since then and im not exactly upset.

Now in the US there are a lot of indoor mosh pits that are cqb games with kids and lots of novice players, this I understand a bang bang rule, there are little kids with 300fps rentals going against polar star rifles that can spit out ammunition like it’s nothing that can break skin. So for those I’d understand (when I was a kid I’d play and my friend had a bb literally half an inch into his skin)
Edit: guns over 400FPS with a .25 have a 100foot MED.

If they were drawing blood, shooting point black with a 500rpm, different story but a soft gun with a fair bit of distance is fine. Seen people shot with pistols closer and barely flinch.

And I think a cheater is one that isn't truly skilled and/or lacks patience. Because if you get shot and it's a kill, just bow and and figure out why. Learn. Ask even the person who shot you for tips maybe. But cheaters do ruin the game.
The good news is he got caught cheating a lot more and got kicked out, remember if you're going to play airsoft, don't be like the person I encountered, be a good sport and call your hits and go back to spawn.
