What's the Scotch brite's grit? It's been a nightmare to find the correct grit in order to not damage the cilinder, could you please elaborate on what grit is needed? Theres tons of Scotch Brites and at diferent grits.

@Alpine Airsoft keep it as is! Just sand every side! No need to round it out! Then use the scotch brite and make it all pretty!

Hey man I have the SSG96 with a M160 and i cant pull the bolt... as hard as i try it just wont work. I can do it with both hands tho. It feels like the Spring is doing everything to hold it back... I did everything you said in your vid and still not even 1% better. Any Suggestion?

I have the 2.8 Joule version that just released mid April, I did every step you did and my gun is still insanely hard to pull, I can barely do it with one hand it's that bad. Any suggestions?

My bolt pull is pretty smooth out of the box... idk if it’s like that cuz it’s brand new or what. I find that if you keep the bolt handle 100% facing up Andy you keep a little upwards pressure in the bolt handle, it doesn’t scratch

This worked for my ssg10 also. You should also mention to clean ALL the shavings out of the cylinder or else they’ll get into your bucking and your bbs will curve left and right and potentially scratch up the inside of your barrel. This does work though.

Do you have a recommendation on where to buy a stronger spring? My SSG10 is shooting about 75FPS below my field limit with an M170 and 3 FPS adjuster rings. I've checked and I don't have any air leaks, so I think the only way to increase FPS is to get a stronger spring.

just wrap the spring guide in a thin layer of tape. fixed it for me

I have fixed mine in my SSG10 A1 by wrapping part of a soda can around the spring guide (Very carefully so it doesn't come out and mess anything up) you can find a guide here: LeadFootUK ; How to do a can mod to an SSG10/Any airsoft gun.

Great informational video. Will you ever cover hpa setups or smg blow backs? Smc9 would be a great side arm for you; seeing how sneaky you are. Also any tips for someone who is struggling with cheap cams and corrupt video cards!??!?

Thank you! I will in the future! I have a lot planned! Just one video at a time! I really want a gas MP7 sometime down the road! For the cheap cameras and video cards situation. I’d really invest in good cameras! That way sd cards won’t get corrupted. Anything as low as a GoPro hero 4 and up are really good cameras to invest in!

Watching other ssg96 videos you can hear an odd sound when they shoot. That seems to be the video's creators complaint about the gun. Did you have an odd sound when you shot when you 1st got the gun? Thanks

yes, had the same problem, really easy fix tho. The sound is actually the spring moving around on the spring guide when fired. Just wrap the spring guide in a thin layer of scotch tape or some other thin tape and it removes the sound of the spring rattling around.

Thanks for the tips buddy! Do you have issues in being able to press the bolt quick release switch in the trigger guard? I can’t for the life of me get it to release so I can pull it out. Any tips on being able to do that without breaking my thumb?
