How to be an effective airsoft sniper

In this video I explain three different ways to play a sniper in Airsoft/milsim. In my opinion these three roles are the most effective ways to use the sniper class in the sport of airsoft. They are the Scout Sniper, the Flanking Sniper and the Designated Killer. These roles are all very different from one another and not every role is for every player. They each offer any player who enjoys bolt action sniper rifles, a different way to be an effective sniper. Now the question is, who has more reach?

There are a great number of skills needed to perform well in an airsoft/milsim game. Use of cover, use of concealment, communications, formations, use of angles and the ability to read the tactical geometry of the field to name a few. Range is NOT a skill. Range is a characteristic of your airsoft gun and it can be purchased. This does not make you a better player. It makes you a player with more range. These are not the same thing.
Most players when they find they are deficient immediately spend more money on their gun to gain more range in the hopes of gaining an advantage without ever considering actually learning how to play. At this channel I am trying to teach people how to play the game. I make videos that teach people the skill sets they need to improve their performance on the field.
I'm totally with you, when talking CQB, but thus does not really apply at large events, where you are mostly in agricultural woods and open fields. Of course cover is important, but since it's often lacking and you can spot someone a lot earlier, than you can fight them, it's definitely a game of range at large events.
