BB, I'd just suggest that if your making a video for absolute noobs, it may be good if you define some terms. I'm a noob that is gearing up and I still don't know what AEG stands for although I assume its a variety of assault guns. Also, since I'm so new, its not really all that helpful to just flash a few pictures of various AEGs and say go buy one of these. At the local shop there must be 50+ options hanging on the wall. I think it would have been more helpful if you gave just a few stats. Something like.... "Buy the AEG that you think looks cool, shoots at least 325 FPS, is upgradable and has a large mag." Something like that. That would help me decide and not end up buying a crap gun.

I'm choosing the sniper nonetheless. I don't have any experience with airsoft yet but I know myself. I'm not sure what the local field will have to offer me but I enjoy learning the field, knowing good ambush and concealment places are, sneaking around and such. Every first person video game I've played, I've focused on sniping. In the far distant past I played paintball and I never did as well in house to house fighting. I was much better in the woods playing a sniper type role even though I was just using a average rental gun. I think my reaction time is just a hair slower than the average person.
So don't try to talk me out of the sniper. I already bought it so its to late. Maybe one day Ill try the AEG.

Wouldn't mind some experienced advice on how to get the most out of it. That may be good content for one of BB's videos.

If you want to use a sniper rifle I would only recommend pulling it out every once in awhile to space things up. I highly recommend trying a DMR over a sniper rifle if your field will allow it just so that way you have semi-auto and you can afford to be a little bit more aggressive. of course if you get within your 75 to 100 equipment of engagement distance so depending on what the your field limits are for dmrs then switch to your pistol.

Ha, cool that other people bring this up! Came here because of the GG 'smaller channels video'. I worked on a simular topic and it's just cool to see other videos telling the same thing!

i think for anyone, an aeg is a go to first gun. But from there. its preference. If you're an ak type of person. Get an ak. If you're an m4 type, great. Just get something you will enjoy then and in the future.

Even if you still want a sort of sniper rifle, go with a dmr style AEG, it's a little more restrictive than your standard Rifleman but it also gives you that range that you are looking for while still having a lot of advantages that an AEG offers

Hey BBC warrior, I have a question for you. I want to know if buying a sniper rifle is good for Springer games, me and my friends are not that serious but I want to step up my game, is this a no go?
David Todd
David Todd - 3 years ago
If everyone is using springers then you eliminate one of the big disadvantages of the sniper as a single shot weapon. Snipers tend to be longer (both of mine are 50+ inches long) though so if you guys play cqb then you will probably have issues with maneuvering in close quarters.

The ASG M40 sport line is a good starter but don't spend an insane amount on a Sniper rifle

Still shouldn't be your first gun. You need a sidearm. It should be at least your third gun so that way you can buy a pistol before you buy the sniper rifle

Buy a DMR before you take the plung into buying a Sniper Rifle

Thank you for making this video. I see a lot of comments on airsoft c3 for new players wanting to buy their first airsoft gun and they want a sniper. I always tell them to go to a local field and just play a few rounds with a rental aeg before you spend any money on anything. I also tell them the first thing they should buy is a good set of eye pro. Anyway love the videos keep up the good content.

Okay time to drop the ball and chain and call BULLSHIT on this!

1: There are many great Airsoft rifles out there both affordable and up in prices to choose from. And one CAN play Sniper even as a noob. Keep in mind it's more about researching and learning the craft by yourself or from others.

2: Now lets talk rifles, you want to talk cheap vs expensive. I have known people buy an el cheapo Spring Rifle do some tinkering with it and of course have fun with it. Hell Spring Rifles are probably not only the most quiet to some extent, but also lighter as well too. Simple, easy to learn, and in some cases can be upgraded in accessories as well.

Now lets talk AEGs. I have a Dboyz M16 SPR, and yes AEGs can be sometimes pricy, YES there are upgrades you can purchase. But if you know what you are doing? I've seen some crafty SOBs make their own stocks etc based on what they have or know. Again it takes time and learning but can be really fun!

3: Oh this keeps getting better and better.

"Most of the time Sniper Rifles aren't allowed or limited at playing fields."

Okay time to debunk this POS! For starters anyone that has played a sniper knows this isn't the only airsoft gun you carry. If you have a Spring Rifle? You ALSO bring a back up, maybe a PISTOL or carbine, SMG etc. Possibly gas or AEG type. Good airsoft snipers don't just bring the rifle.

As far as space goes, yes it can be limited but still not a total disadvantage if you know how to adapt tactics, plus I know for a fact NOT ALL fields are the same. It varies on location and so on. OH DIDN'T I MENTION that sniper rifles come in AEG?

OF COURSE I DID!

HELLO, D BOYZ M16 SPR! AEG BUB!

That means select fire ranging from single, to shot burst, to full auto. Yes regulations DO mean how one can operate but yes even a sniper AEG can operate in CQB. DUH!

If someone is really thinking they want a sniper get a DMR style AEG. Ya can run it like a normal AEG and also use it in a little bit longer distance role to get an idea of how playing the sniper role feels.

You need a lot if experience to be a sniper. To get it shooting nice and straight then you need $300 minimum. You need a base, bipod, scope, new hopup chamber, better barrel, upgraded cylinder internals, better spring, metal trigger box, and better bucking. I know rhe asg m40a3 is good out of the box for $80 but it doesn't have the best range and cant quite hop some of the heavier bb's. every novoristh and fully upgrades sniper will outrange you. Yes you can run .32's through it but it you want .43's you need to increase the fps and a good bucking. If you want to go even farther, you can flat hop. You also need a sidearm. You have a minimum engagement distance of 100 ft. 500fps can break the skin. If you get into a bad situation where theres 6 giys comming your way, good luck gettong out of that. You could also carry a ligjt weight aeg but you need to be able to carry the extra weight and you need midcaps. If you still want a sniper for every once in a while then by all means spend the $300 plus on the gun and parts but you will never be silo, house gamers, or novoritsch.

Short verision everyone else will have semi auto and you will be swiss cheesed and miss a lot without upgrades. You also need a pistol.
